Describe your musical background and interests.

I've been playing for 12-15 years, during which time I've been in a number of bands, mostly at school and university in England. In 2003 I recorded and released an acoustic album, 'Buoyancy' (Steviant Records) that my family, friends and some internet people really liked. My former band was on the cusp of a development deal and a singles deal with Fierce Panda UK when I decided to come to grad school in the US, which buggered that up a bit. They're still not speaking to me.

I don't believe in 'reading' music. And not just because I can't do it.
